WHAT TO EXPECT
Teaching: We meet together for about 60-70 minutes every weekend, and we go through a series of talks—message series—that usually last about three to six weeks. We look at the Bible, why it matters, and how to apply it to our lives. The teaching topic is identical at both services.
Worship Music: Each week, we worship God through music. We sing a good mix of contemporary music that is led by our worship team.
What to Wear: We dress pretty casually here. If you’re most comfortable in jeans and a T-shirt, you’ll fit right in—just come as you are.
Where to Park: There are parking spots in our lot. Parking is also available along Douglas Crescent and Farnham Gate Road.
Hospitality: Arrive early and stop by the Welcome Centre to pick up a free gift. We’ll answer any questions and help you get where you need to go.
Communion: Communion is celebrated at Halifax Christian as an act of worship. We celebrate communion every Sunday. If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you are welcome to participate.
Glow Kids: Kids birth through grade 5 can learn about Jesus on their level. In the nursery and toddler rooms, your child will be cared for by an amazing team and experience playtime activities . Elementary kids in grades 1-5 gather for music and teaching then break into smaller groups based on age .
Ignite Youth: Ignite Youth is a space for 6th-12th grade students to make friends, have fun, and learn about Jesus together! It happens on Wednesday nights at our church building from 7:00-8:30 PM.
